Community Support
Since 1874, we have made an impact in the local community through charitable giving. We also reinvest customer deposits locally by lending to area consumers and small businesses. Lending decisions are always made in Ambler by bankers that live in the community. We take the time to understand the unique needs of our community and value every relationship.
We generously contribute financially and our employees volunteer their time supporting a variety of non-profit organizations. Our Board of Trustees targets to donate 5-7% of our after-tax profits to local area charitable and civic organizations. We believe that giving is more important than simply raising our public profile. Our actions are deeply tied to our mission. We have developed categories to guide our charitable giving.
A majority of our donations support the following:
- Education & Youth Development
- Affordable Housing
- Hunger, Poverty & Social Services
- Community Development

Educational Giving – Ambler Savings Bank is proud to be a part of the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Each year we donate over $150,000 to local schools and non-profit organizations to fund educational programming.

Matching Grant Program - As the pandemic shut down businesses in 2020, we quickly realized the loss local non-profit organizations were also experiencing. So we launched our Matching Grant Program, offering non-profits a dollar-for-dollar matching gift for funds raised up to $5,000. The program continues today. Grants are awarded to one organization each quarter.
Since 2020, we've helped raise over $150,000 through this initiative!

Employee Matching Gifts - As part of the Bank’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve, we offer our employees a Matching Gift Program. We encourage employees to contribute to the causes they care about most. The Bank makes a 1:1 match up to $500 per employee, per calendar year.

Outdoor Digital Signage - Our Ambler, Bally and Limerick Branches feature outdoor digital signage. We accept and welcome requests from non-profit and municipal organizations to have their message featured on our sign. Please use the request form at the link below.
